Virtues Program
Daily religious instruction and school-wide prayer, weekly all-school Mass, monthly Virtues Program, and sacramental preparation are the cornerstones of building the faith community.
The Virtues Program is a unique aspect of faith formation at Saint Agnes Catholic School. Each month, a specific virtue of the Catholic faith serves as the focal point for school-wide activities, including
- classroom instruction by parents and/or teachers
- school-wide service projects
- daily prayers or reflections about that specific virtue
For example, the Virtue for October 2011 was HOPE and included a special service project in support of US troops. Students collected and sent items to soldiers to arrive by Thanksgiving to let them know how thankful the Saint Agnes community is for their service. Saint Agnes is especially proud to support CAPT David Borden, USMC, brother of 3rd grade teacher Maggie Borden. CAPT Borden is an inspiration to all: during his first tour of duty in 2008 in Iraq, he sustained multipled injuries, underwent 44 surgeries, a leg amputation, and 2 ½ years of rehabilitation. During his recovery process, his one goal was to heal and return to active duty.
The Virtues and service projects for 2011-2012 are:

December Humility Christmas gifts for Offender Aid Restoration
January Tolerance Food drive to benefit Christ House
February Thoughtfulness Valentines for Senior Citizens
